Kabiru Dogo Takes Charge as Niger Tornadoes’ New Technical Adviser

Kabiru Dogo Takes Charge as Niger Tornadoes’ New Technical Adviser

Niger Tornadoes have named Kabiru Dogo as their Technical Adviser ahead of the 2026/27 NPFL season. He signed a three-year deal and was unveiled at the club secretariat in Minna. The ceremony was led by new chairman Dr. Abubakar Kuso and the Niger State Ministry of Youth and Sports Permanent Secretary. They introduced the former El-Kanemi Warriors boss to supporters and the media. Dogo brings vast NPFL experience from stints with El-Kanemi Warriors, Nasarawa United, Kwara United, ABS FC and Sunshine Stars. He guided El-Kanemi to last season’s President’s Federation Cup final. Niger Tornadoes hope his tactical discipline will steer the Ikon Allah Boys to success and solidify their place among the NPFL’s leading clubs.

Three-year contracts can feel overly long for technical advisers, especially in our league where job security often hinges on immediate results.

I'm not convinced that the club's new chairman or the ministry understands the technical side well enough to support Dogo properly.

Focusing on local talent development and gradual tactical tweaks could help Dogo build a resilient squad over his three-year tenure.
