Adamawa High Court Halts ADC Congresses Over Exclusion Dispute
A High Court in Adamawa State has ordered the immediate suspension of all ADC congresses set for April 9, 2026. Justice Ahmed Isah of High Court No. 6 in Yola issued the order pending the outcome of a case. The hearing has been adjourned to April 15, 2026. The lawsuit was filed by ADC state chairman Yohanna Shehu. He claims the state transition committee led by Sadiq Dasin planned the congresses without proper consultation. Shehu argues the process was undemocratic and excluded his office from key preparations. He spoke to national media after the court ruling, insisting on full involvement in all party activities.
