Why Africa’s Faith Hasn’t Freed Us from Poverty

Why Africa’s Faith Hasn’t Freed Us from Poverty

Many Africans wonder why poverty persists despite widespread belief in God. Colonial powers reshaped the Bible and spread a distorted theology that keeps us bound. Deuteronomy 28 foretold the exile, oppression and loss of our natural wealth. Our ancestors endured slavery and colonisation, and even today face new forms of control over Africa’s resources. True liberation demands returning to the Bible’s original message and our biblical identity as the lost Israelites. Messiah Yeshua is the promised Black Redeemer who brings freedom, restoration and justice. Let us move beyond empty religiosity. Serving Yahuwah on His terms and embracing the truth in Scripture is how we will overcome poverty and neocolonial oppression.
