What It Means to Be Seated with Christ: Unpacking Ephesians 2:6

God raised us with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 2:6). This reveals our identity and position in Him. Because we are united with Christ Jesus, His death, resurrection, and exaltation become ours by faith. Being seated with Christ means we share in His victory over sin, death, and every power of darkness. It assures us of rest—no longer striving to earn acceptance but trusting in His finished work. We now enjoy fellowship with God and direct access to the Father. This truth also speaks of authority and heavenly citizenship. Though we live on earth, our inheritance and hope remain in the heavenly realms. Our position in Christ is secure and established forever.
