She Fights, She Wins: 24 Women to Box at Inaugural Kehinde Joy Obareh Show in Lagos
On Sunday, June 28, hundreds will gather at the National Stadium in Surulere to watch 24 talented female boxers compete at the first Kehinde Joy Obareh Boxing Show. Tagged “She Fights, She Wins,” the event aims to support less privileged boxers and raise awareness of women’s boxing. Action begins at 2pm in the Brai Ayonote Gym at the National Stadium. The lineup features fighters from clubs across Lagos and beyond, including Gafar Fathia, Adeshina Zainab, Adepoju Rokibat and others. Show founder Kehinde Joy Obareh began boxing at 15. She has won multiple medals at national and international events and holds advanced coaching qualifications from the United States. She is currently studying Business Administration in the US.
