Nigeria-Eligible Liverpool Prodigy Ngumoha Targets World Cup, Premier League, and Ballon d’Or
Rio Ngumoha has enjoyed a breakout season at Liverpool despite limited minutes. The 16-year-old forward scored once in 13 Premier League appearances and impressed with his natural talent. Still eligible for Nigeria after representing England at youth level, Ngumoha named international glory as his top priority. In a recent Sky Sports interview, he said winning the World Cup with his country would be “crazy.” He also set his sights on club success. “For club, Champions League and Premier League,” he added. “But the main one is World Cup. Celebrating with your nation… that’s special.” On the personal front, Ngumoha aims for football’s highest individual honour. “I’m confident in myself,” he said. “Hopefully a Ballon d’Or and to be regarded as one of the best ever.” Nigeria’s coach Éric Chelle is reported to be monitoring his progress closely.
