1 / 3

Belgium secured qualification to the Round of 32 with a commanding 5-1 victory over New Zealand in their final Group G fixture. After opening the tournament with back-to-back draws, the Red Devils needed a win to advance. Leandro Trossard broke the deadlock in the 28th minute from a corner. Trossard struck again early in the second half before Kevin De Bruyne’s long-range effort made it 3-0. New Zealand’s Elijah Just pulled one back, but Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Saelemaekers added late goals to seal the emphatic win. The result sees Belgium finish top of Group G and progress to the knockout stage.
