UNIZIK DVC Academic Prof. Asigbo Honoured with Eastern Nigeria Merit Award
Prof. Alex Chinwuba Asigbo, Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, received the Eastern Nigeria Merit Award of Excellence in recognition of his contributions to education in the region. The 6th edition of the awards, held at Best Western Meloch in Awka under the theme “Inspiring Growth,” celebrated individuals and organisations setting high standards across Eastern Nigeria. The national coordinator noted Prof. Asigbo’s outstanding pedigree and career achievements as key to his selection for the Star Award. In his acceptance speech, Prof. Asigbo dedicated the honour to all who pursue excellence. He reaffirmed his commitment to nurturing the next generation and stressed that genuine success lies in building a fair and educated society.
