Oyo APC Member Rejects Call for Calm as Primaries Row Deepens
I write to reject the party’s appeal for calm after the controversial primaries in Oyo State. I accuse the state leadership of abandoning internal democracy, sidelining delegates and imposing candidates. I also condemn the mocking of those who were short-changed and the empty promises of future rewards. I demand a transparent post-primary review, fair reconciliation for aggrieved aspirants and an immediate end to triumphalism by the beneficiaries. I insist on real steps to strengthen democracy before future contests. Until these demands are met, appeals for calm will fall on deaf ears. I will stay and fight for an APC that honours its ideals.
