Nigerian Dies in Delhi Police Custody After Scooter Pursuit
Police in West Delhi’s Rajouri Garden arrested a Nigerian man after he allegedly rode his scooter against traffic near the Metro station. Officers say he collided with a police motorcycle and fled on foot. He was chased, apprehended, and taken to the Special Staff office in Tagore Garden. The man complained of feeling unwell and was rushed to Guru Gobind Singh Hospital in Khyala. Doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. He has been identified as Christian Eze Promise. Authorities have informed the National Human Rights Commission, the Ministry of External Affairs and the Nigerian High Commission.
