Bauchi State to Shut 30 Unregistered Private Schools, Owners to Face Prosecution

Bauchi State to Shut 30 Unregistered Private Schools, Owners to Face Prosecution

Bauchi State Government will prosecute proprietors of unregistered private schools operating in the state. Education Commissioner Abdulkadir Ibrahim announced this during an inspection tour of 47 schools in Bauchi metropolis. He revealed that only 17 of those schools met the registration and minimum standard requirements. The remaining 30 institutions will be closed and their owners prosecuted under the state’s education laws. The commissioner added that the government will continue to support compliant school operators to improve learning outcomes and ensure quality education across Bauchi.
