Kwara APC Primary Hit by Forged Signature Allegations
A fresh controversy has erupted in Kwara State’s APC over alleged forgery in the Edu/Moro/Patigi House of Representatives primary. In a petition dated May 18, 2026, Mr. Johnson Babatunde of Jebba Ward claims his signature was forged on a result sheet circulating online and at the Ilorin secretariat. The document was used to support Dr. Joshua Ajani’s declaration as winner, but Babatunde denies signing or authorizing anyone to act on his behalf. He says the forgery has harmed his reputation and exposed him to public suspicion. He is urging the state APC leadership to investigate, hold those responsible to account, and report findings to the national chairman. This marks the latest twist in the heated House of Reps primary for the Edu/Moro/Patigi constituency.
