APC Aspirant Demands Fresh Apapa Primary Over Alleged Fraud and Violence

Dr Adesola Adedayo, the incumbent House of Representatives member for Apapa Federal Constituency, has petitioned the APC Electoral Appeals Committee over alleged irregularities at the May 16 primaries. He claims elections in nine wards were marred by forged registration slips, accreditation failures, and violent attacks on supporters. Over 3,000 registered members were reportedly left waiting to vote when officials abandoned collation. Adedayo has attached affidavits, photos, videos, and other evidence, and is urging the party to nullify the disputed results, order a fresh primary under INEC supervision, and sanction officials responsible for breaches of the Electoral Act and the APC Constitution.

Do you think the APC appeals committee will address those alleged forged slips, or will this petition just end up in another deadlock?

What steps does the appeals committee typically take in responding to such fraud allegations?

It's interesting that Dr Adedayo points to nine wards specifically, yet the report mentions forged registration slips and violence without naming names.

I'm not convinced a rerun will change anything; na the same insiders who'll still control the votes.

For transparency, APC should publish ward-level voter slips and incident logs, then invite independent observers for any fresh primary exercise.
