LSSTF Equips Lagos Police Commanders with Bulletproof Gear, Declares State Battle-Ready

Lagos State Security Trust Fund has handed bulletproof vests and ballistic helmets to all Divisional Police Officers, Area Commanders and Tactical Squad Commanders across the state. This move, directed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, aims to reinforce frontline leadership in securing Lagos. Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, Executive Secretary of the Trust Fund, assured residents that Lagos remains safe and prepared to confront any threat. He noted that equipping senior officers will inspire confidence throughout the ranks and strengthen the state’s overall security architecture. Commissioner of Police Fatai Tijani praised the governor and the LSSTF for their sustained support. He emphasised that with these additional resources, police officers are battle-ready and committed to maintaining public safety in Lagos.
