The Miracle of the Four Thousand (Matthew 15:29–39)
Jesus travels along the Sea of Galilee and heals the lame, blind, crippled, and mute after crowds bring them to him. Moved by compassion for the people who have been with him for three days without food, Jesus asks the disciples for seven loaves and a few small fish. He gives thanks, breaks the bread, and distributes it. All eat and are satisfied, and seven baskets of leftovers are gathered.
