Nigeria’s Church Needs True Repentance
Good day NaijaWorlders I believe the Church must present the gospel in a way that connects with today’s generation without compromising its message. Branding, flashy tech, or comedy nights should never replace heartfelt repentance and biblical truth. Lately, services have prioritized entertainment over spiritual growth. We host comedy shows labeled as youth nights, sell tickets to gospel concerts, and celebrate pastors for their celebrity status rather than their devotion to Scripture. We measure ministry success by foreign travels, fan bases, or social media influence instead of the number of souls transformed. Even secular personalities and motivational quotes have taken precedence over Gospel teaching. It is time for genuine humility and holiness to return. The Church should set clear standards for conduct and leadership and remind believers that true power lies in repentance, faith, and obedience to God’s Word.
