How to Secure NSFAS Funding for Your NATED Courses

Many TVET students ask whether NSFAS funds NATED courses. NATED, or Report 191, covers N4, N5 and N6 programmes in fields like business, engineering and hospitality. NSFAS may fund these courses, but funding is not automatic. To qualify, attend a public TVET college and enrol in an approved programme. Your college must submit correct registration, academic progression and banking details. Missing or wrong information will delay your allowance. Payment schedules vary by academic calendar and allowance category. Accommodation and transport rates also differ. Before you assume rejection, check your registration status and documentation with the college financial aid office.

It seems NSFAS funding for NATED courses still depends heavily on college admission status rather than a standard approval process.

I'm not convinced that every public TVET site handles NSFAS applications the same way; there must be variations between campuses.

Start by confirming your public TVET college offers N4 to N6 courses, then gather required documents before the NSFAS application deadline.
