Nigeria to Host 2026 CAF Awards and 48th Ordinary Assembly, Tinubu Confirms

President Bola Tinubu has approved Nigeria’s bid to host the 2026 Confederation of African Football Awards and the 48th CAF Ordinary General Assembly. The announcement followed a meeting between Tinubu and CAF President Patrice Motsepe during the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi. Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, the NFF President, former CAF adviser Amaju Pinnick and CAF officials were present. The Nigeria Football Federation says the General Assembly will take place in October this year, bringing together leaders from CAF’s 54 member associations and senior football administrators from across Africa.
