DSVA Celebrates Fathers as Pillars of Safe, Violence-Free Homes on Father’s Day

DSVA Celebrates Fathers as Pillars of Safe, Violence-Free Homes on Father’s Day

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency marked Father’s Day by honouring fathers and father figures for their crucial role in creating nurturing, violence-free homes. In a message shared on its official X handle, the agency highlighted how fathers shape values, build trust and foster environments where family members feel seen, safe and protected. It noted that male caregivers who choose compassion, guidance and accountability play a key part in raising children free from violence and abuse. The DSVA commended those who lead by example and urged all fathers to continue promoting respect, responsibility and non-violent values. “Your presence matters, your example matters, and the role you play in shaping a better future cannot be overstated,” the agency stated.
