INEC has declared Governor Biodun Oyebanji of the APC the winner of the Ekiti State governorship election. He secured 319,224 votes, while the PDP candidate trailed with 40,543 votes and the ADC candidate scored 12,872 votes. The final results were announced at about 3:09 am on Sunday, marking the fastest collation of an Ekiti governorship poll to date. Local government breakdown highlights APC dominance: Ado LGA returned 38,026 votes for the APC versus 3,817 for the PDP and 1,054 for the ADC. In Ekiti West, the APC polled 28,258 against the PDP’s 3,644. Irepodun/Ifelodun saw 29,278 votes for the APC and 2,119 for the PDP.
