Seeking Advice on Managing Stage IV Prostate Cancer

A dear family member in his 80s has been diagnosed with stage IV prostate cancer that has spread to his bones. He can no longer walk and can only stand with limited support. The doctors have recommended treatment to reduce the hormones feeding the cancer, alongside palliative care to manage pain and other symptoms. However, many people have suggested herbal remedies, claiming they know people who managed similar cases for years. I am willing to explore safe options that may help him live longer and more comfortably, but I am sceptical of claims that advanced cancer can be cured within one month for a small fee. Has anyone had experience supporting a loved one with advanced prostate cancer, especially alongside hospital treatment?
