Honouring Anambra Elders: Nonye Soludo Marks World Elder Abuse Awareness Day
Mrs Nonye Soludo welcomed senior citizens from across Anambra State to the Light House, Awka, in celebration of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. The gathering featured music, dancing, games and healthy indigenous dishes under her Healthy Living Programme. She described elders as living treasures and custodians of wisdom, culture and values. She urged the community to respect, include and protect them from abuse and neglect. In her message, she thanked the elders for their sacrifices in building today’s Anambra State. The event underscores the administration’s commitment to the welfare and dignity of senior citizens.
