Afia Media Launches ‘Uwa Bu Afia’ Lecture & Awards to Shape South-East’s Future
Afia Media has unveiled the Afia Annual Lecture and Awards to promote development in the South-East. The platform will gather leaders from government, business, academia, culture and civil society for policy dialogue and collaboration. The inaugural edition, themed “Uwa Bu Afia: Trading Ideas for Development,” is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026 in Enugu. It will air live on Afia TV, Afia 99.3 FM and through digital streams to audiences nationwide and abroad. The event features two segments: a high-level Afia Annual Lecture for public and private sector leaders, and an Awards Gala recognising excellence across governance, business, technology, culture, education, youth and more. Organisers say this annual forum will drive policy conversations, attract investment and strengthen public-private collaboration to advance sustainable development across the South-East.
