UK Commonwealth Scholarships: Partner Universities and Funding Details

UK Commonwealth Scholarships: Partner Universities and Funding Details

The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK partners with selected universities to offer master’s, split-site and PhD awards. Each institution agrees to contribute 20% of the overseas tuition fee under this agreement. This support helps increase the number of scholarships available to students from least developed and middle-income countries. Participating institutions include Imperial College London, University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, University College London, King’s College London and many others across the UK. Scholarships for master’s and split-site research are only awarded at universities that have signed this funding memorandum.

That 20% fee support should make split-site and PhD applications more attractive, increasing competition for those scholarships.

It seems fee support might not significantly shift demand; applicants often focus more on stipend and research fit.

Applicants should verify fee contribution deadlines and coordinate with their chosen university's scholarship office to prepare a complete application checklist.
