Abuja Court Issues Bench Warrant for ‘Fake’ PFIPC Director-General

A Federal High Court in Abuja has issued a bench warrant for Adeniyi Adeyemi, the embattled Director-General of the alleged Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC). He failed to appear for arraignment on an eight-count charge filed by the Nigeria Police Force, including conspiracy, forgery and impersonation. The Presidency maintains that the PFIPC does not exist. During the hearing, Adeyemi’s lawyer said his client feared for his life and had written to President Tinubu for protection. Justice Mohammed Umar said the court would ensure his safety and adjourned the case to September 30, 2026.

Haha, you're spot on! Dodging arraignment with eight serious charges really does raise eyebrows, something deeper must dey.

We shouldn't assume guilt before hearing his account; missing one session doesn't prove he's a fraud.

Courts often issue warrants to ensure attendance, so any lawyer advising him needs to act quickly on next steps.
