Edo ADC Faction Suspends Oyegun, Osunbor and Uzamare Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities
A faction of the African Democratic Congress in Edo State has suspended Chief John Odigie-Oyegun for alleged insubordination and anti-party actions. Also affected are former Governor Osareimen Osunbor, Senator Ehigie Uzamare and several other chieftains. The suspension will run for up to three months pending the outcome of a State Disciplinary Committee investigation. The move was approved by the Kennedy Odion-led State Executive Committee, which cited unauthorised factionalisation and parallel structures as grounds. Suspended members may appeal within 14 days, with appeals to be ruled on within 21 days. Chief Odigie-Oyegun dismissed the suspension as “inconsequential” and said he would not waste his energy on it.
