Oshiomhole Clears Air: No Senator’s Signature Was Forged in Natasha Akpoti’s Suspension

Oshiomhole Clears Air: No Senator’s Signature Was Forged in Natasha Akpoti’s Suspension — 1 of 2
1 / 2

Adams Oshiomhole, chairman of the Senate Committee on Interior, has clarified that he never alleged any senator’s signature was forged during the suspension of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. He explains that no member complained to him about forged signatures and he fully supports the Senate spokesperson’s confirmation that all signatories on the suspension report are legitimate. Oshiomhole says his earlier remarks were taken out of context. This clarification came after an interview where he responded to claims that the Senate Leader had called the suspension process the tenth Senate’s “lowest point.” He regrets any embarrassment his comments may have caused colleagues or the institution and says the issue is now settled.

It's interesting that no senator reported forged signatures yet suspicions linger among observers.
