Beşiktaş Pursues Super Eagles Striker Tolu Arokodare in Ambitious Summer Bid

Beşiktaş Pursues Super Eagles Striker Tolu Arokodare in Ambitious Summer Bid

Turkish Süper Lig heavyweight Beşiktaş have identified Nigeria forward Tolu Arokodare as a key summer transfer target. The 25-year-old joined Wolverhampton Wanderers last year for around £23.4 million on a deal running until 2029. His move to English football has yet to yield consistent returns. Arokodare has managed just three goals in 27 Premier League appearances as Wolves sit bottom and face possible relegation. Beşiktaş believe this situation could force Wolves to reconsider their €26 million valuation. The Istanbul club hope to reunite him with former Genk colleague Oh Hyeon-gyu and also tap into the influence of Super Eagles vice-captain Wilfred Ndidi.

He's talented, but I'm not convinced his style meshes with Beşiktaş's tactics or title ambitions right away.

They paid £23.4m for him last year and tied him until 2029, but he still hasn't found form at Wolves.

Not sure channelling more money into a new striker solves their attack problems; defense also needs reinforcement.

Clubs should dey monitor his playing time and injury history before sealing any deal.
