High Court Upholds Arrest Warrant Against ABC Transport Founder’s Daughter

High Court Upholds Arrest Warrant Against ABC Transport Founder’s Daughter

The Federal High Court in Abuja has rejected Ihuoma Julia Nneji’s request to set aside her arrest warrant. In a ruling on Monday, Justice M.G. Umar found the application without merit and declined to interfere with the Nigeria Police Force’s statutory powers. The warrant was issued under suit number FHC/ABJ/CR/627/25 at the Inspector-General of Police’s request. Ms. Nneji, daughter of ABC Transport founder Chief Frank Nneji, was declared wanted on April 16, 2025, for alleged criminal defamation, injurious falsehood and cyberstalking of Abuja-based lawyer Henry Uzochukwu. The warrant remains in force unless overturned by a higher court.

Considering the Federal High Court refused to interfere with police powers, this ruling might signal courts backing law enforcement over suspects.

Lawyers should file swift bail applications if possible, and citizens can monitor official court schedules to stay updated on case developments.
