I am deeply saddened by the claim that Jason Arday was hounded to death. His reported experience has renewed concerns about the subtle and overt racism Black professionals face in the UK. As a Black parent, I believe children should know their country of origin and have a strong sense of identity. They should not have to endure workplace discrimination, unequal pay, isolation, depression, or other mental-health pressures. As an employment lawyer, I have seen similar experiences among many Black workers. Parents and communities must do more to support our children and challenge racism wherever it appears.
