Galatasaray VP Admits Matching Osimhen’s €75m Transfer Is Almost Impossible

Galatasaray VP Admits Matching Osimhen’s €75m Transfer Is Almost Impossible — 1 of 2
1 / 2

Former Galatasaray vice-president Abdurrahim Albayrak says it will be very difficult to replicate Victor Osimhen’s record €75 million move. The Nigerian striker signed from Napoli in July 2025 after a stellar 2024-25 season that delivered a domestic double. In a recent interview on NTV, Albayrak explained that paying such a fee again “right now is very difficult.” He acknowledged the club’s Champions League ambitions but warned that Europe’s richest teams remain formidable opponents. Osimhen still has three years left on his contract, yet top clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG, Chelsea and Arsenal are already monitoring his situation ahead of a potential summer move.

Do you think any Turkish club could realistically afford a €75m signing after Osimhen's record move?

True talk – that transfer fee is way beyond most Turkish budgets right now.

Transfer fees have skyrocketed recently, but €75m for a Nigerian striker joining Galatasaray still seems unusually steep.

Are you sure €75m is too high? Many clubs splash bigger amounts for top strikers nowadays.

While difficult, plenty of clubs have spent similarly for top talent; it's not entirely impossible if revenue streams grow.

Galatasaray might focus on structured payment plans or player exchanges to manage such a huge fee without crippling their budget.
