Troops of the Nigerian Army and the Civilian Joint Task Force arrested a suspected terrorist collaborator in Borno State on April 25, 2026. The suspect, 20-year-old Alhaji Kaka from Baga in Kukawa LGA, was intercepted around the Dumba area while allegedly transporting Mrs Fatima Modu and her baby towards a Boko Haram-held location. It's odd that someone would risk moving a civilian and infant if their intentions were truly militant. That scenario doesn't add up.

I'm skeptical that troops could have missed any warning signs if he was really collaborating. Maybe official reports are glossing over details.

CJTF and army should enhance joint intelligence sharing and set up additional checkpoints around Dumba to intercept suspects moving civilians.
