Veteran actress Ann Blyth has died at age 98 from natural causes, as confirmed by an entertainment reporter. She was one of the last surviving stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age. Blyth rose to fame at 16 for her Oscar-nominated role as Veda Pierce in the 1945 drama Mildred Pierce. She later appeared in films such as Brute Force and musicals including The Great Caruso, Rose Marie and The Student Prince. After stepping away from cinema, she focused on theatre and television, with credits in The King and I, Wagon Train and Murder, She Wrote. Born in Mount Kisco, New York, in 1927, she began performing as a child on radio and Broadway before moving to film. Blyth was married to Dr. James McNulty for over 50 years and is survived by their five children.
