UK All-Female Gang Jailed for £13.6 Million Cocaine Smuggling Plot
An all-women drug ring has been sentenced after running a sophisticated cocaine supply network across the UK. Between April and August 2022, they moved over 170 kg of high-purity cocaine worth an estimated £13.6 million. Using encrypted messaging, secret passwords and shifting drop-off points, the group evaded detection until one courier was caught in London with £80,000 of the drug. Forensic analysis of his phone exposed the network’s wider reach, including same-day distribution of 22 kg of cocaine. Investigators identified a male organiser directing three female couriers from different regions. The operation collapsed after multiple coordinated arrests in January, including stops at Gatwick Airport and raids by regional crime units. All five conspirators received hefty prison terms at Birmingham Crown Court.
