Ejiofor Urges NFF to Extend Eric Chelle’s Tenure After Positive Start
Former Super Eagles defender Eric Ejiofor has appealed to the Nigeria Football Federation to keep Eric Chelle as head coach after a promising start with the national team. Speaking on Brila FM, Ejiofor commended Chelle for blending young NPFL talents into the squad and developing an attractive style of play. He believes continuity will help sustain recent progress. Under Chelle’s guidance, the Super Eagles have gone 12 matches unbeaten in regulation time, including a 2-2 draw with Poland in June 2026. His overall record stands at 16 wins, nine draws and just one loss in 26 games.
