Lagos Police Dismiss Cult Clash Rumours, Intensify Patrols in Shitta and Itire

The Lagos State Police Command has denied rumours of an impending cult clash in Shitta, Akerele, Itire/Aguda and Ishaga. They say the message is unverified and meant to cause panic. Police officers and operational assets were quickly deployed to the mentioned areas and neighbouring communities. The Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, ordered intensified patrols and greater visibility in these flashpoints. Residents were assured that the zones are secured and urged to continue their activities without fear. The public was also warned against spreading unverified information.
