Guards Brigade Busts Illegal Ammo Courier, Seizes 250 Rounds in Abuja
Troops of the Guards Brigade, working with the Office of the National Security Adviser, intercepted a suspected ammunition courier on the Abaji–Kwali Road in the Federal Capital Territory. The operation took place at about 7:09 p.m. on Monday, May 3, after credible intelligence led soldiers to mount a snap checkpoint. A vehicle search uncovered 250 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition hidden in the engine compartment. The suspect is now in custody as authorities continue their investigation into the network behind the illegal arms movement.
