How Can I Reconcile My Wife and My Brother's Wife Without Taking Sides?
My wife and I dated for four years before we married in 2022. My brother and his wife encouraged us to relocate abroad as a married couple and loaned us most of the money for the move. We repaid the loan in full within a year of graduating. After we later relocated to the US, tension developed between my wife and my brother's wife. I do not know all the details, but there were issues involving unanswered messages and perceived snubbing. My wife now feels she should not be treated poorly because they once helped us, even though we repaid the money. The situation has worsened, and my wife has decided not to visit their home or allow our son to spend weekends there. My brother still visits us, and I still visit him, but his wife keeps her distance. I want both families to reconcile, especially because we are abroad and should be able to support one another. How can I approach this without making my wife feel dismissed or making it seem as though I am reporting my brother's wife to him?
