Purified Imagination: Shaping Our Divine Destiny
The mind’s images guide every step we take. Before sin appeared in the world, Eve’s inward picture led her to act. Likewise, God’s own vision brought creation to life and revealed the plan of redemption in Christ. As believers, we are called to align our thoughts with God’s divine intention. Scripture shows that a renewed imagination reflects Christ’s nature (Ephesians 4:24, Colossians 3:10) and fuels spiritual victory (Ephesians 3:20). Without godly vision, our hearts become vulnerable to fear, confusion, and defeat (Proverbs 29:18). We cultivate a divine imagination by feeding on Scripture, meditating on what is true and pure (Philippians 4:8), and speaking God’s truth aloud. By continually beholding Christ and rehearsing His promises, we replace corrupt mental images with a powerful inward picture of victory and peace.
