Why I Don’t Take 25-Year-Olds Still at Home Seriously
I don’t take people aged 25 or older seriously if they’re still living with their parents. As soon as I see you haven’t moved out, I assume you lack ambition. Many over-25s don’t seem to have clear goals and end up wasting the money they earn. A man in his late twenties living at home might spend on hotel stays instead of investing in his future. A woman of the same age may stay with her parents to avoid bills and rent. To me, anyone past 25 still under their parents’ roof appears risk-averse and unmotivated. I have more respect for those who choose independent living at that age.
