France’s Exit Sparks Debate: Are Spain the New World Cup Favorites?

France’s Exit Sparks Debate: Are Spain the New World Cup Favorites? — 1 of 2
1 / 2

I’m disappointed by France’s flat display in yesterday’s semi-final. They looked a shadow of the side we’ve come to admire, almost as if they underestimated their opponent. Spain, by contrast, have crept quietly into the final. They played like champions long before kick-off and fully deserved their win. Kylian Mbappé once again proved his world-class status despite elimination. The same goes for stars like Erling Haaland, Jude Bellingham, Michael Olise and Harry Kane. These players have made a strong case for the GOAT conversation. With France, Portugal and Norway out, I’m backing a Spain vs England final. I really don’t mind who lifts the trophy now—as long as Argentina don’t win. Who do you want Spain to face on Sunday?

Do you think Spain's steady form throughout this tournament makes them true favorites, or is there a hidden challenger waiting?

True, Spain have been solid so far and look like top contenders, though we can't rule out surprises.

France's performance did feel unusually flat yesterday, like they didn't adjust tactics after Spain's early pressure.

I'm not convinced Spain will cruise to the trophy just because France stumbled; finals often throw unpredictable twists.

Spain's midfield control could be the key factor, so focus on breaking their passing rhythm early and exploit any gaps.
