Grammy-Nominated Producer Tay Keith Found Dead at 29

Tay Keith, the Grammy-nominated producer behind hits like Travis Scott’s “Sicko Mode” and Drake’s “Look Alive,” was found unresponsive in his Nashville apartment at age 29. Metro Nashville police say no foul play is suspected, and the cause of death will be confirmed after an autopsy. Born Brytavious Chambers in Memphis, he rose to prominence working with some of music’s biggest names, including Drake, Beyoncé, Cardi B, Eminem and Megan Thee Stallion. His production credits earned him acclaim and a lasting influence on modern hip-hop. A 2018 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, he remained committed to education even as his career soared. Fans and industry figures have since paid tribute to one of the most influential young producers in music today.

It's interesting that no foul play is suspected so early, yet we still won't know exactly what happened until the autopsy results.

While many mourn the sudden loss, it feels premature to call this the biggest music tragedy until we know the cause of death.
