Stolen Rivers State Hilux Worth ₦7.5m Recovered in Adamawa, Two Arrested
The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two men over the alleged sale of a stolen Toyota Hilux valued at ₦7.5 million. Police acted after Aliyu Usman reported buying the vehicle without knowing it was stolen. Investigators found the Hilux was taken from Rivers State in June 2026 and transported to Yola North LGA by an accomplice still at large. The suspects, Mustapha Suleiman and Rabiu Garba, face charges of criminal conspiracy and receiving stolen property. The vehicle has been returned to its rightful owner. Commissioner of Police Kabiru Hassan praised the buyer for reporting the theft and urged the public to verify ownership documents before purchase. Investigations continue to track down the fleeing suspect.
