Introducing FutureNow: FG’s Podcast Elevating Nigerian Children’s Voices
The Federal Government has launched “FutureNow,” a new podcast designed to give Nigerian boys and girls a platform to share their stories and influence national conversations. At an intergenerational dialogue themed “Her Voice, Her Power” in Abuja, the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development highlighted the importance of inclusion, digital literacy, social protection and family support to empower every child. Speakers from Save the Children, SOS Children’s Villages Nigeria and UNFPA called for rights-based investments in psychosocial wellbeing, resilience and leadership skills. They urged deliberate actions to ensure no child—regardless of gender, disability or background—is left behind. The event featured interactive sessions with adolescents and members of the Nigeria Children’s Parliament, showcasing young voices shaping their future.
