The Yobe State Police Command has arrested three suspects over the alleged theft of transformer components and power cables in Sabon Gari community, Bade Local Government Area. Police said two large bundles of power cables were recovered from Abubakar Idris, 27. The investigation later led to the arrest of Sumaila Suleiman, 25, and Ibrahim Ado, 26. The command also recovered a tricycle and an unregistered Boxer motorcycle believed to have been used to move the stolen items. The police say investigation is still ongoing, while efforts continue to track down other members of the syndicate.
