Terrence Howard Claims Agents Hid Lucrative Empire Fragrance and HSN Deals
Actor Terrence Howard has expanded his lawsuit against his former talent agency. He alleges the agency failed to inform him of business opportunities tied to the hit TV series Empire. Court filings say Howard’s agents pushed FOX to raise his pay from $325,000 to $750,000 per episode but the network declined. He also claims they never told him about talks for an Empire-branded fragrance deal. That omitted deal reportedly included a $20,000 launch event fee, future paid appearances and a chance to launch his own signature men’s scent on the Home Shopping Network. The agency denies any wrongdoing and is seeking dismissal, arguing Howard’s claims came after the statute of limitations.
