I Go Save Slams Begging Crisis in Lagos: “North Holds Plates, Lagos Holds Stones”
Comedian I Go Save has raised the alarm over what he calls a begging “pandemic” in Lagos. On his Instagram story, he contrasted the region’s roadside plate‐holding beggars with stone‐carrying panhandlers in the city. He urged Lagos authorities to take immediate action to curb the growing number of people begging on the streets. The comedian argued that public spaces are overflowing with those seeking alms and called for decisive government intervention. Beyond begging, he also criticized the EFCC’s frequent hotel raids, questioned the impact of the porn site ban on Nigerians, and reacted to various social issues—from Halloween celebrations and Tonto Dikeh’s church deliverance video to BBNaija’s Angel Smith’s marriage woes. Through his commentary, I Go Save continues to provoke debate on Nigeria’s social and moral challenges, urging both citizens and officials to address these concerns.
