SWAN and AnSFA Bury Hatchet, Forge New Partnership for Anambra Sports

SWAN and AnSFA Bury Hatchet, Forge New Partnership for Anambra Sports

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria’s Anambra chapter and the Anambra State Football Association have ended a two-year face-off. They met in Awka and pledged to support one another in promoting football and sports across the state. SWAN chairman Chimezie Anaso and AnSFA president Chikelue Iloenyosi led a two-hour reconciliation meeting. Both sides agreed to withdraw all legal cases and work together for the success of the sporting press and football in Anambra. Anaso called the truce a new dawn for sports in the state and thanked members for their solidarity. Iloenyosi said he looks forward to integrating SWAN into his administration and building on their smooth personal ties.
