Lagos Police Bust Woman Trying to Traffic Kaduna Girls Abroad for Prostitution

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a woman accused of luring three girls aged 18 to 20 from Kaduna with promises of restaurant jobs in Lagos. Upon their arrival in Ajegunle on May 23, the suspect allegedly revealed plans to send them to Ivory Coast for prostitution. One of the victims refused and reported the case to the police. The Commissioner of Police ordered a transfer of the investigation to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba. The Anti-Human Trafficking/Gender Unit is now probing allegations of conspiracy, deception, and trafficking under the supervision of the DCP. Efforts continue to rescue other victims held by an accomplice and to identify all involved in the scheme. The suspect will face court charges once investigations conclude.
