15 Federal Universities With the Largest Land Areas in Nigeria
Land area is one way to compare the scale of Nigeria’s federal university campuses. The University of Ilorin leads this list with 15,000 hectares, followed by Obafemi Awolowo University with 11,861 hectares and the University of Abuja with 11,824 hectares. Other large campuses include the Federal University of Technology, Minna (10,650 ha), the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (10,200 ha), and Ahmadu Bello University (7,000 ha). The list is based on figures from the Federal Ministry of Education and institutional reports. One hectare equals 10,000 square metres.
